As someone who grew up in mountain lion country I can assure you they do indeed sound like a shrieking woman or child. It’s horrifying when you hear one in the forest outside your house at night.
On the other hand, it’s fun to tell bigfoot hunters that the recording they took is a horny-as-fuck mountain lion.
